It’s funny how sometimes the simplest things can make you feel so full. On Tuesday we took a break from trying to do what we “normally” did for school before baby E was born. I woke up and felt very unmotivated to try to accomplish the whole breakfast and schooling production that had failed so hard on Monday morning. So I called a friend to meet us at the park, packed a little picnic breakfast, and headed to the coffee shop for a little bit of joe to help me accomplish a morning at the park. It turned out to be the best idea I had all week…we not only accomplished getting outside on one of the nicest fall days and enjoying ourselves with friends at the park, but we also worked in some of our science lesson by collecting seeds for our seed collection and other bits of nature to add to our fall nature shelf.

We also found this beautiful moth. It was such a lovely day. It felt so good to be out in crisp fall air so early in the day. I’m excited for the cozy days of winter in front of the fire…with so much time spent indoors and at home, but I will be taking advantage of every last day out of doors. How are you spending your fall days?
