An afternoon picnic

While Care and I were going through the kitchen deciding what would stay with us and what would go with them…the girls decided to have a picnic in the back yard. I snapped this photo before the meltdowns. All this talk of moving and packing hung heavy on these two sweet souls the afternoon I took this photo. They are better now. Its been a couple of days since the bulk of their items have been disheveled and moved from one house to the next.

Now, here in this house, we have lots of extras to figure out. Lots of extra stuff that never really belonged to anyone…it was just here. Extra rooms to move about and play with. Extra alone time to regroup and be silent in. We have had such a lovely time living together. Our lives so intertwined. As we try this out for a few months, we are hoping to settle into some healthy family life rhythms. We are hoping to finish some projects that were just too hard to finish with so much life bustling about here in the last three years. This house has been well-used. It needs some rejuvenation, a little TLC in the form of dusting, mopping, and fresh coats of paint. I will try to do a little renovation story for those who are interested in seeing the changes as they happen. Stay tuned.
